David Quessenberry retired as a Navy Captain in 2010, and again as a Delta Airlines Captain in 2020. He holds type ratings in the B-727, B-737, B-757, B-767, and B-777 aircraft, and has flown over 18,000 incident free flight hours conducting aviation operations around the Globe. As a Naval Officer, he was instrumental in the development of the Navy’s highly successful Risk Management and Organizational Culture Workshop programs. He also has over 13 years of experience assisting High Reliability Organizations identify hazards and implement risk controls to prevent potentially catastrophic failures. As one of the initial designated Navy Culture Workshop facilitators, he has conducted workshops and evaluations for Aviation, Surface, Submarine, and US Marine Corps units worldwide, including the Blue Angels, USS Roosevelt (CVN-71), USS Lincoln (CVN-72), and USS Reagan (CVN-76). He graduated from the United States naval Academy in 1980, and currently resides in Southern California.
