Gregory White most recently served as the Operations and Planning Manager in the Security Risk Management Directrate for PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI). PTFI is among the top 5 copper and gold mines in the world. PTFI operates in West Papua, Indonesia, an extremely complex and remote location in the Northeast region of the Indonesian archipelago. Prior to working for PTFI, Greg served as an Adjunct Faculty for the Joint Special Operations University delivering special operations educational programs worldwide. Since retiring from a distinguished 22-year military career in the US Army, Mr. White has worked as a Senior Project Manager in support of both USG defense contracting and commercial enterprise projects.
After retiring from the United States Special Operations Command – Central (SOCCENT), Mr. White worked as a defense contractor for Orbis Operations LLC as a business developer and project manager supporting the US Special Operations Command’s (USSOCOM), Interagency Task Force focused on developing solutions to Countering Trans-National Organized Crime (C-TOC). Following his time with Orbis, he became a Senior Project Manager for Equitas International LLC where he led of team of 11 personnel that identified commercial support and supply chain services to US military forces stationed in the Middle East and Africa over an 8 - year period.
As a Special Forces officer, Greg worked at the highest US military joint and combined staffs where he facilitated international military and inter-governmental agency coordination. As a member of both the CJSOTF-Iraq and Combined Forces Special Operations Component Command (CFSOCC-A) he served as the Deputy Operations Director coordinating the current and future operational picture for the Commander on a daily basis. He was responsible for synchronizing and de-conflicting actions and activities over multiple combat formations, to include assets from the Special Operations Task Force, 12 Liaison Officers, and numerous conventional units across the battle space.
Mr. White has worked around the world on projects in both the public and private sectors seeking to benefit local populations in such industries as education, logistics, construction, banking, supply chain, risk management, and healthcare.
Greg White’s educational credentials include a BA in Political Science, University of Northern Iowa; MS International Relations, Troy State University, where his thesis focused on the Indonesian Military in the Post Suharto era. He is a graduate of numerous military schools, including the US Army Special Forces Qualification Course, the Special Forces Advance Reconnaissance and Target Interdiction Course, US Army Ranger School, US Army Civil Affairs Course, US Army Command and General Staff College and the Joint Forces Staff College.
Greg has traveled to over 37 countries around the world and is an Indonesian linguist. He understands the international environment. He also has a basic understanding of Spanish. He is an avid wrestler, grappler and blue belt in Brazilian Ju-Jitsu. He enjoys staying fit, working outdoors, and traveling. Greg lives in Brandon, FL with his wife Veronica of 19 years and his two children, Sophia and Gabriella.
