Matt Gayle

Safety, Performance & Leadership Coach

Matt Gayle is a retired U.S Navy Master Chief with 30 years of active-duty service, where he spent more than two decades developing, coaching, and mentoring some of America’s military best and brightest managers and executive level leaders. He served as the Aviation Maintenance Master Chief aboard the only Forward Deployed Naval Forces (FDNF) nuclear powered aircraft carrier, the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), leading 450+ men and women in three deployments to the South China Sea. Additionally, Matt has served onboard four different nuclear powered aircraft carriers spanning six high-risk deployments to the Middle East in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM and NEW DAWN. Most notably, Matt worked at the 3-Star (Executive) level for Commander Naval Air Forces Pacific (CNAP) as an Aviation Maintenance Management Team Inspector.  There he managed high priority programs such as Quality Assurance, Support Equipment Planned Maintenance Systems, and Hazardous Materials for the entire Navy and Marine Corp aviation fleet.

Matt also worked at the Ivy League’s Cornell University as a course facilitator where he facilitated courses in Executive Leadership and Organizational Change Management from the SC Johnson School of Business. There he facilitated courses to 1,100+ students including hosting leadership symposiums and providing feedback on industry best practices.

Matt holds a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Columbia Southern University and a Bachelor of Science degree from American Military University.  He is also a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy with Honors from the Naval War College in Newport Rhode Island. He also holds Certificates in Organizational Change Management and Performance Leadership from Cornell University.
