Steven Lunsford

Steve is a retired Marine Corps veteran with more than 32 years of leading and advising high risk organizations in peacetime, combat, crisis and contingency operations.

Originally from Stanford Kentucky, he joined the Marine Corps and served as an infantryman for 15 years until he was promoted to First Sergeant and Sergeant Major and served as a Command Senior Enlisted Leader (CSEL) for another 17 years. He has also served in formal instructor capacities at the Marine Corps Drill Instructor School along with establishing formal leadership development courses in all his assignments as a CSEL and ensuring that leaders at all levels had the tools for success at their disposal. He has served in capacities leading teams of four to organizations employing almost 10,000 servicemembers and civilians in infantry, aviation and logistics commands in support of global operations. Steve has deep experience leading at all levels of commands, and retired as the CSEL for Marine Corps Forces Central Command responsible for the advocacy and employment of Marines across the Middle East and advising on the development of organizational mission and structure in support of Marine Corps modernization efforts and regional security priorities.

He retired from the Marine Corps in 2022 and continues his efforts in developing professional and dedicated leaders committed to their organization’s mission and the people within it.
